She does find she has to pace herself on things like gardening, however, as the mito disease does tax her. That makes me sad in ways she'll never know. She is mostly a trooper though, and is continuing to accrue credits at Rock Valley, help around the house, and look for a job that fits in better with her life as it is. Being 18 will broaden that spectrum. She is so organized, I definitely can see her in an office somewhere, dressed snazzy behind a desk :)

The heart surgery she had last summer gave her a bit more energy and she only has to use her wheelchair for a few things. She does play power wheelchair soccer for the Rockford Park District, and that's lucky for them! In recent tournament play, she was the only player to score any goals. She also goes to MDA Camp with Annie and Sarah, and best pals Jamie and Jen.
